Nancy L. Mergler Dissertation Completion Fellowship Award 2017-2018
This year my dissertation project “Narratives of social movements in Twitter. A case study of the refugee caravan" was selected as one of the 2017-2018 recipients of the Nancy L. Mergler Dissertation Completion Fellowship Award.

This grant is awarded by the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost of the University of Oklahoma to the seven most promising dissertation PhD proposals in the entire university. It was an extraordinary achievement for me and an incentive to continue develop research focused in the understanding of contemporary issues in the field of social sciences, specifically Communication.

I want to express my appreciation to my advisor Eric Kramer, to the Nancy L. Mergler Dissertation Completion Fellowship Award selection committee, to the Department of Communication, and to the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost of the University of Oklahoma.
